Participated in the Old Vic New Voices' Best of British Workshops -- focusing on studying classic British plays and working on my British accents/dialects. So fortunate to be studying with such smart artists!

I had a great time participating in The Artful Conspirators' workshop of Monica Flory's SCOTTISH PLAY, about a group of high school girls who put on the first act of MACBETH. Can't pass up the chance to play the King of Scotland!

ENTER YOUR SLEEP, an exciting new play about two friends who meet in their dreams by Columbia MFA Playwright Christina Quintana, was a great success!

Had a blast playing Clarabell, in a reading of THE FROLICKS, or The Lawyer Cheated -- a newly rediscovered Restoration comedy from 1671 by Elizabeth Polwhele!

Spent two days doing a series of readings at Premiere Stages, playing everything from a high-class escort, to a deaf lover, and "Dragon Lady!"

I was chosen as one of 16 young, New York actors to participate in a workshop with Kevin Spacey on the BAM Harvey stage as part of RICHARD'S RAMPAGE (<--click for more info!)

Starting off the year by shooting "STILL," a film about the fountain of youth. For the first time since NYU, I get to share a scene with Seth Andrew Bridges, my long-time friend and colleague!

DECEMBER 2011

Participated in a workshop of Libby Emmons' play "Zeropia" for Clubbed Thumb!

I attended the 2011 VoiceOver Mixer and it was a great success! Lots of new friends and connections!

NOVEMBER 2011

Soon, I will sing the role of Lysistrata in a workshop reading of the new musical The Goddess Wheel by Galt MacDermot on November 20th!

Shooting for "Passersby" is complete! Great crew and wonderful story.

Lauren joins the cast of "Passersby," a NYU Tisch film written and directed by Cyrus Toulabi!

Successful shoots for "Sadie," a short horror flick produced by Invasive Image, and "Spectral Faces," an NYU Tisch film!

Lauren participates in a reading of the play "Eyes Forward" by Philip Gerson, winner of the 2011 Stanley Drama Award!

Lauren plays Darla in a reading of Lily Mercer's new play Before a Fall

Exchange director Mike Donahue invites Lauren to participate in an informal reading of Max Vernon's new musical WIRED at Ars Nova!

Lauren participates in two different shows as part of the Planet Connections festival! A reading of The Orange Person directed by fellow exchanger Jeremy Bloom, and Ephemerama - a show written, directed, and performed in 24 hours with Shelby Company!

Lauren is pleased to join Sink or Swim's upcoming production of The Crucible as Mary Warren! 

 

JUNE 2011

  • The Exchange went swimmingly! Over 600 people attended the showcase at the Old Vic, including many members of the British Industry!

  • Empire State Of Mind will showcase 7 brand new 10 minutes plays,  which have been inspired by TS Eliot.

    The performance will take place at The Old Vic Theatre on Friday 03 June at 3PM.

    *The TS Eliot US/UK Exchange is Kevin Spacey and the Old Vic's program for emerging theatrical talent.
